Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for appropriate use of our platform and services

Acceptable Use Policy last updated at Mar 1, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the services, APIs, and platform provided by Meshes, Inc. ("Meshes", "we", "us", or "our"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For questions about this policy, please contact us at support@meshes.io.

Platform and API Usage

You agree not to use the Meshes platform or API to:

  1. Exceed or attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, authentication controls, or other access restrictions, whether through automated means or otherwise.
  2. Interfere with the performance, availability, or stability of our Services or the experience of other customers.
  3. Use automated tools (such as bots, scrapers, or spiders) to access, monitor, or copy content from our platform, except through our published APIs and SDKs used in accordance with our documentation.
  4. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying architecture, or proprietary algorithms of our platform or Services.
  5. Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to our Services as a standalone product without our prior written consent.
  6. Transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code through our platform.

Event Routing and Integration Usage

Because our Services route events to third-party applications and services, you are responsible for the downstream effects of events routed through your account. You agree not to use our Services to:

  1. Route events designed to trigger unsolicited bulk email, SMS, push notifications, or other messaging through downstream integrations.
  2. Facilitate the transmission of content that violates the CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, GDPR, or other applicable anti-spam, privacy, or electronic communications laws.
  3. Route events intended to harass, threaten, defame, or defraud recipients of downstream communications.
  4. Circumvent the acceptable use policies, rate limits, sending quotas, or anti-abuse measures of any connected third-party service.
  5. Route events that trigger communications containing false, misleading, or deceptive information.
  6. Use our platform to facilitate phishing, social engineering, or other fraudulent schemes through connected integrations.

You are responsible for ensuring that any communications or actions triggered through your use of our Services comply with all applicable laws and the terms of service of any connected third-party services.

Content and Data

You agree not to use our Services to process, store, or transmit:

  1. Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  2. Data that you do not have the lawful right to collect, use, or transmit.
  3. Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activity.
  4. Any data subject to regulatory requirements (such as HIPAA-protected health information or PCI cardholder data) unless you have confirmed with us that appropriate safeguards are in place.

Account Conduct

You agree to:

  1. Maintain the security of your account credentials, API keys, and access tokens. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  2. Provide accurate and current registration and billing information.
  3. Not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  4. Not attempt to access accounts, data, or systems belonging to other Meshes customers.
  5. Promptly report any security vulnerabilities or unauthorized access to security@meshes.io.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations of this AUP, including:

  1. Issuing a warning and requesting corrective action within a specified timeframe.
  2. Temporarily suspending access to the Services while an investigation is pending.
  3. Permanently terminating your account for severe or repeated violations.
  4. Reporting illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

Where possible, we will provide notice before taking enforcement action and give you an opportunity to address the violation. However, we reserve the right to take immediate action without notice in cases of severe violations or where continued access poses a risk to our platform, other customers, or third parties.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@meshes.io.
